Opening of the Unbroken Prosthetic and Orthotic Center

On May 10th, a grand opening ceremony of the Unbroken Prosthetic and Orthotic Center took place in Lviv (Ukraine). This event marks a significant achievement in the field of rehabilitation and support for people who require prosthetic solutions.

Participating in the development of this innovative project is a matter of particular pride for our DELTA Group. The Center’s building, which occupies an area of about 1000 m2, is an integral part of the overall UNBROKEN rehabilitation ecosystem. It will provide manufacturing of prostheses for upper and lower limbs and train new specialists to increase the number of professionals in this field.

During the construction of the Center, special attention was paid to innovation, sustainable development, and energy efficiency. The building was constructed using innovative CLT panels produced at Rezult’s manufacturing facilities in Korostyn. This ensured the efficiency and speed of construction. Thanks to the latest equipment from leading companies AFT and Romedis, the workshop has created ideal conditions for producing high-quality prostheses.

Environmental consciousness was at the forefront of every stage of the project. LG heat pumps and EFFI radiant ceiling panels are used for heating the Center. The roof is equipped with a ZinCo “green” roof, which accumulates rainwater and gradually diverts it into the city’s storm drainage system. The inner courtyard is equipped with a snow melting system.

The Unbroken P&O Center project is the result of close cooperation between Ukrainian and German specialists. German expert Bernd Franke, Ukrainian prosthetics specialist Nazar Bahniuk, talented Architect Kyrylo Lazorenko, and experienced Project Manager Yurii Skolozdra worked on it. 7CI Group, acting as the general contractor, ensured the successful implementation of the project. Thanks to our professionalism and partnership, creativity, and genuine care for people, a truly unique facility was created.

The opening of the Unbroken Prosthetic and Orthotic Center is an important step in providing comprehensive support to people with special needs. Thanks to innovative technologies, energy efficiency, and a professional approach, the Center will contribute to improving the quality of life and independence of those who require prosthetic solutions. DELTA Ukraine continues to implement projects that have significant importance for the social development of Ukraine.

The initiative is implemented within the framework of the EU4ResilientRegions Special Assistance Programm Ukraine and Commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), co-financed by the European Union. The project was made possible thanks to the support of GIZ Ukraine.
